I signed up for this photo shoot for my school's brochure... so you might find me on GCU's pamphlet or on their website.

In other news... I'm really stressed out. My workload is relentless. But I'm holding up pretty well... my one psych prof loved my paper and wants to use it as an example for her other classes.

Have to register for classes for spring soon. I am hopefully going to take Women and Gender, Cognitive Psych, Personality Theory, Dynamics of the Group, and either a meditation class, yoga, or pilates. I should be taking another religion or philosophy class but I think I'll hold those off for summer session.

Okay so I FINALLY started unpacking from Florida. It makes the feeling of my vacation ending way too official. I went from tropical, sunny, hot paradise straight to clouds, rain, temperatures that now feel like 65 to me. I am miserable. I could have been going to school down there in September... probably with a decent scholarship too. Instead I chose to stay in Jersey and finish out my bachelors in LAKEWOOD OF ALL PLACES. Whatever hopefully I can keep my GPA up and get another scholarship so I can get my master's down there. I can not take these short summers and miserable winters anymore. This is not my scene! I was thinking I probably should have chosen a study centered around geriatrics... being that Florida is 95% old people and nursing homes.

Ryan and I went to this place called "Fisherman's Village" in Punta Gorda. It ended up being a shopping center but it was actually pretty cool.... as far as shopping centers go. There was a store that had a television screen playing a slide show of houses for sale in the area. One of them was $65,000... and it was nice! You can barely buy a mobile home for that price in Jersey.

Manatee at the Mote Aquarium. We saw at least 6 or 7 manatees out of captivity on the trip though. One day I was swimming by the lighthouse in Sanibel and a huge manatee swam about 2 feet away from me. Scared the shit out of me I thought it was a shark

We went to Florida for a week. It was fun. Until our rental car got broken into and my purse got stolen. They only got away with abut 35 in cash but they got two credit cards and my drivers license. And my Ross gift cards wtf! Fortunately the police in Sarasota retrieved my purse the next day... and my student ID was still there. Good thing because it sure would have been a hassle trying to board a plane with literally no form of identification. I was surprised they actually searched for it. I was even more surprised that they actually dusted it for finger prints. I hope they find them.. the incident totally put a damper on the vacation.

It just drives me crazy that I spend almost my whole life growing up near Trenton and never have an incident like this... and then we spend one day on a nice resort island and get our car broken into. We were only on the beach for 30 mins.

No more Ocean County College! For a second I thought I would miss it... but then I realized I was thinking like an idiot. But I am going to miss being 15 mins outside of Seaside... and 8 mins away from Aamantran. So I ended up getting my associates with a 3.9GPA which I'm totally cool with. I'm kind of nervous about starting GCU... but I'm more-so just nervous about finding out where my classes are going to be located since my schedule doesn't tell me which building they are in!

My stomach doctor diagnosed me with Ulcerative Colitis. He upped my Lialda and put me on steroids... but I think it's starting to help put me in remission. It better work quick... I'm sick of this disease already.

Poison ivy has taken over my life for the past week or so. Everyone looks at me like I'm diseased. How many times do I have to say that POISON IVY ISN'T CONTAGIOUS!?! I get this horrible allergic reaction at least four times a year (I'm hypersensitive) and I have yet to spread it to ANYTHING or anyone. Not to mention it is medically impossible to transfer the oils once they have been absorbed by your skin. My face is pretty much cleared up though (thank god because I have a presentation today) so I should have no trouble being out in the sun this weekend... it's supposed to be 87 sunday!!! SUMMMMERRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay I don't have much to report, not that it matters anyway because no one reads this thing. But anyway I'm officially accepted at Georgian Court... I'm going to register for classes on the 16th. It's sooo different from OCC they actually make you meet with the dean of the department of your major (which I changed to psychology) to HELP YOU pick out classes. Someone's going to help me?! Amazing! But I guess they owe it to you when you're paying $30,000 to go there (and that's what I'm going to owe AFTER my scholarships). Oh that's another thing I have no clue how I'm going to afford this. They have a deferred payment plan but I'm kind of freaked out that I'm going to be paying off student loans for the rest of my life. Thank god I did the community college thing first or I'd be even more in debt.

I went trout fishing this weekend in PA. An out of state license cost me $62!! I didn't catch anything. But at least it was a nice warm day.

Sooo basically I'm accepted into Georgian Court with a $20,000 scholarship from PTK. I've decided to major in English. I was reading my yearbook from 8th grade and I came across this huge note that Mrs. Jones wrote about her wanting to be the first person I sign my first best seller to. I mean yeah she was pretty crazy but it kind of made me think. And then I remembered how disappointed Mr. Franklin was when I told him I wanted to study biology instead of english. I can't remember his exact words but he basically told me that it would be a real "shame" to let my talents go to waste. Anyway it just made me realize the only classes I've been really passionate about are my literature/english classes so I think that's what I'll major in. Maybe I'll even go for, dare I say it.... teaching! But yeah the campus is super nice and the staff is SO much more accommodating than OCC. Not to mention it's only a FIFTEEN minute drive!!

So that's all and well. BUT in other news.... I'm extremely agitated about my mom wiping out all of my documents to "free up" space on our computer. The papers my professor wanted to have published are gone and irretrievable as well as a paper I wanted to submit to another scholarship. But no big deal it's only two publications and a $5,000 opportunity....

I'm kind of pissed that I wasted 50 digital prints on photos of me and him for a Valentines gift. Pictures of sludge would probably have been more worth my time and money.

Using me as a scapegoat for not making something of yourself is not fair. You can't keep using me to cover up your shortcomings. I never held you back from anything and never would have. But you know what you are and you will never amount to anything more with or without me. You had the one good thing your life would ever amount to and you let it go. For that reason I pity you.

You always acted like I was a bitch. Maybe I should start living up to that. So tell me Ryan... is this bitchy enough for you? It doesn't matter what you think though... I'll still be here smiling when you fall flat on your face.

I took my new underwater camera underwater and it BROKE. Damn Olympus!! I've got pictures from Virginia Beach. Eventually I'll post them.

I miss Virginia already. I don't think I'd want to live there but it's a nice vacation spot. Right now I'd rather be anywhere that's not forecasting a high of 18. Gah!

Why is it that all history professors are some sort of crazy? Seriously... every history professor I've had at OCC has been some sort of crazy. And I don't mean gives you a lot of homework crazy... I mean off the deep end completely neurotic. I have come to the conclusion that the guy I have now is either a crack head... or insane. But I'm betting on insane because apparently he is also a priest.

I don't get it though... the history teachers in highschool and middle school weren't like this. Mr. Jones was pretty normal, Mrs. Wherman was a little off but she was just Scottish... and I think I remember Mr. Lewis being pretty normal too (aside from that horrible growth on his finger).

I don't know... maybe it just has something to do with the polluted water in Toms River.

I have a huuuge photo post from our trip to Florida. It was fun, as always. We hit up a bunch of springs and made our way to the gulf... Ryan's grandmom seemed to be doing really good so that's a big plus. Oh and we saw roseate spoonbills!! Can't wait to go back!
